Release Notes

Release notes describe features and fixes made to Certent’s ESPP Employee Stock Purchase Plan application in regularly scheduled system updates. They also include changes made to the system in interim updates between regular releases.

Because Certent is a SaaS (Software as a Service) company, the actual release number assigned to each update is not important since all clients access the same and most current version of the system. However, because auditors often require this information when working with their clients, Certent publishes the release number and date for each update.

An important part of each set of release notes is the KNOWN ISSUES section that provides information about key functionality that is not working at the time of a software update. When available, Certent provides a workaround for these issues, some of which have a unique identification number such as [CEM-12345]. When an issue is fixed in a subsequent release, the release note written for the fix includes the known issue number so you can search for it in the help system to determine whether an item has been fixed. Note that you are also notified by Certent's case management system via email when an issue you have reported has been fixed.
